How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

Working Hours: Monday to Friday, 9:00 am–5:30 pm, 37.5 hours per week with a one-hour unpaid lunch

Money Expert is a UK independent price comparison business, helping consumers compare and save across insurance, energy and financial services products.

The business operates in a fast-paced, measurable digital environment, with Marketing playing a key role in customer acquisition, customer value and commercial growth. As the Marketing function continues to develop, this is an opportunity to join a growing team and play a key role in shaping its next stage.

    The Role

As Marketing Manager, you will take ownership of Performance Marketing and acquisition while working across CRM, customer lifecycle, campaigns, creative, partnerships and eCommerce.

Working closely with the Marketing Director and alongside the existing Marketing Manager, you will turn the wider growth strategy into measurable commercial results. This is a hands-on role where you will be expected to own campaigns, analyse performance, work with agencies and partners, and identify opportunities for growth.

The role is fully remote, with occasional travel required for meetings at the Chester or Godalming offices, agency and partner meetings, events and team off-sites.

As the Marketing team develops, there will be opportunities to take greater ownership of specific areas and support the development of additional resources.

    Key Responsibilities

Own and help develop the performance marketing roadmap across priority products
Work closely with the specialist performance agency to drive growth across Google Search, PMax, Microsoft/Bing, Paid Social and emerging channels
Manage activity against commercial outcomes including traffic, leads, conversion, CPA/CPL, revenue and return on investment
Identify opportunities to scale successful activity while improving efficiency and lead quality
Lead the development and testing of new acquisition channels, audiences and campaign approaches

Support first-party data and audience strategies across acquisition and existing customers
Work with CRM technology and agency partners to continually improve customer value
Plan and deliver integrated marketing campaigns from brief through to execution, measurement and optimisation
Develop clear briefs for creative, media and digital partners
Ensure campaigns are joined up across paid media, CRM, social, website and customer communications

Develop a strong understanding of Money Expert's products, propositions and commercial model
Manage relationships with selected commercial partners across insurance, protection, energy and financial services
Work with partners to improve lead quality, customer journeys, conversion and commercial performance

Use performance and customer data to identify opportunities to improve online conversion
Support CRO and experimentation across priority journeys
