Supporting vulnerable children & young adults
Are you a caring, patient and resilient Teaching Assistant with a passion for supporting young people with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND)?
TeacherActive is looking for a dedicated SEND Teaching Assistant to work within a supportive Secondary School in Manchester, helping vulnerable children and young adults to thrive both academically and personally.
The role will involve:
• Providing 1:1 and small-group support
• Supporting pupils with a range of SEND and additional needs
• Helping young people regulate emotions and engage positively with learning
• Building trusting, professional relationships with pupils
• Working closely with teachers, SEND staff and pastoral teams
• Creating a safe, positive and inclusive learning environment
We’re looking for someone who is compassionate, reliable and confident working with vulnerable young people. Previous experience within SEND, education, youth work, care or a similar setting would be highly beneficial.
