How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Damp & Mould Supervisor

    Location: North West London
    Contract: Temporary to Permanent
    Pay Rate: £32.50 per hour Umbrella
    Sector: Social Housing
    Working Arrangement: Site & Office Based

    About the Role

    We are currently recruiting for an experienced Damp & Mould Supervisor to join a busy Social Housing Property Services team in North West London.

    The successful candidate will oversee the delivery of damp, mould and wider property repairs, ensuring works are diagnosed correctly, completed to a high standard and delivered within required timescales.

    You will work closely with residents, contractors, surveyors and internal teams to ensure damp and mould issues are effectively managed and that residents receive a professional and responsive service.

    This is a temporary-to-permanent opportunity for the right candidate.

    Key Responsibilities

    Supervise the delivery of damp, mould and associated property repairs across a social housing stock.

    Carry out pre-inspections, work-in-progress inspections and post-inspections.

    Undertake investigations and assist with the diagnosis of damp, mould and building-related defects.

    Identify the root cause of damp and mould issues and recommend appropriate remedial works.

    Monitor contractors and operatives to ensure works are completed safely, correctly and within agreed timescales.

    Prepare and review specifications, scopes of work and schedules where required.

    Ensure remedial works comply with relevant standards, policies and procedures.

    Monitor outstanding damp and mould cases and ensure they are progressed appropriately.

    Work closely with residents, providing clear updates and maintaining good communication throughout the repair process.

    Escalate complex or high-risk cases to the relevant management teams.

    Maintain accurate records of inspections, findings, remedial works and outcomes.

    Ensure works are delivered in line with Awaab's Law, HHSRS and relevant housing standards.

    Liaise with internal teams including Repairs, Housing Management, Surveying and Compliance.

    Support the identification and resolution of recurring property defects.

    Ensure health and safety requirements are adhered to across all works.

    Provide regular updates and reports on the progress of damp and mould cases.

    About You

    The ideal candidate will have:

    Previous experience working within social housing is essential.

    Previous experience in a Damp & Mould, Healthy Homes, Repairs, Property Services or Building Maintenance environment.

    Experience supervising contractors, operatives or property services teams.

    Strong understanding of damp, mould, condensation and building defects.

    Knowledge of HHSRS and Awaab's Law.

    Experience carrying out property inspections and identifying defects.

    Ability to assess repair requirements and recommend appropriate remedial works.

    Strong understanding of housing repairs and maintenance processes.

    Excellent communication and resident-facing skills.

    Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple cases simultaneously.

    Good attention to detail and accurate record keeping.

    Ability to work independently while also working effectively as part of a wider property services team.

    A proactive approach to resolving issues and ensuring works are completed within required timescales.
