How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Job description

An established and design-led construction consultancy in London is looking for an experienced Associate Director to join their 25-strong team. The Associate Director will work across an impressive portfolio of commercial, workplace and hospitality projects, including headquarters, restaurants and private members' clubs for high-profile clients. This is an excellent opportunity for an Associate Director who wants to work on distinctive projects while taking on a senior role within a well-established consultancy.

The successful Associate Director will join a business that has been operating for around 10 years and has built a strong reputation across the London market. The Associate Director will work alongside the founders, Project Directors, fellow Associate Directors and Senior Project Managers, with the opportunity to lead key client relationships and major projects. For an ambitious Associate Director, there is also the opportunity to support the continued growth of the business and develop towards Director level.

    The Associate Director's role

The Associate Director will take responsibility for the successful delivery of projects across the consultancy's commercial, workplace and hospitality portfolio.

Projects are split approximately 40% commercial, 40% workplace and 20% hospitality, providing the Associate Director with a varied workload and regular exposure to high-profile clients.

Responsibilities will include leading project teams, managing client relationships, overseeing programmes and project delivery, supporting junior members of the team and contributing to the wider development of the consultancy.

You must have prior construction consultancy experience to be considered for this role.

    The Associate Director

    The successful candidate will have:

Significant Project Management experience within a construction consultancy

Experience delivering commercial, workplace, hospitality or high-end fit-out projects

A degree in Project Management, Construction Management, Quantity Surveying or a related construction discipline

    Strong client-facing and relationship-management skills

Experience leading project teams and managing complex schemes

MRICS, MAPM or another relevant professional qualification, or progress towards chartership

A collaborative approach and willingness to be office-based regularly

    In Return?

    £80,000 - £95,000

    APC and chartership support

Opportunity to work with high-profile clients

Exposure to commercial, workplace and hospitality projects

    Clear progression towards Director level

Established and experienced senior leadership team

    Central London-based role
