How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Job description

    adi Healy Compressors – Quotation & Estimating Engineer
    Location – Birmingham or surrounding areas

    About the Role

    As a Quotation & Estimating Engineer, you will prepare accurate and timely quotations for compressed air installations, upgrades and service requirements. Working closely with Sales, Service, engineers and customers, you will help turn technical requirements into practical solutions.

    Specifically, your key responsibilities will include:

    • Preparing and developing quotations for compressed air installations, upgrades and services.
    • Working with BDMs, engineers and customers to understand requirements and provide suitable solutions.
    • Reading parts manuals and identifying required components.
    • Scoping and pricing compressed air and blower installations and upgrades.
    • Maintaining accurate CRM records and quotation pipelines.
    • Attending customer sites when required to gather information for proposals.
    • Supporting the sales team with technical and installation advice.
    • Building strong relationships with customers and internal teams.

    About you

    We would like to hear from you if you have:

    • Experience working within the compressed air industry.
    • Knowledge of compressed air equipment, applications and auxiliary systems.
    • Experience preparing quotations or pricing technical solutions.
    • The ability to interpret technical information and parts manuals.
    • Strong communication, organisational and prioritisation skills.
    • Good IT skills, including Microsoft Word and Excel.
    • A proactive approach and ability to work independently and as part of a team.
    • Knowledge of ISO 8573-1, BCAS guidelines, nitrogen generation or low-pressure blowers would be advantageous.
