How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    About the Job

We are looking for an organised, hands-on Transport & Warehouse Manager to take ownership of our depot/storage yard and the day-to-day coordination of our driver team, while also getting behind the wheel of a Luton van when required.

The Transport & Warehouse Manager will be responsible for supporting the smooth day-to-day running of logistics operations across multiple concurrent construction projects.

Key Responsibilities of the Transport & Warehouse Manager:

    * Organise and manage the depot/storage yard, keeping stock, equipment, and materials tidy, secure and easy to locate.

    * Plan and coordinate pickup and drop-off routes for the wider team of drivers across our Greater London project sites.

    * Liaise with head office daily to understand client requirements and ensure deliveries and collections are scheduled accordingly.

    * Drive a Luton van yourself when required, covering routes and deliveries across London.

    * Assist with the loading and offloading of goods and materials, ensuring items are handled safely and correctly.

    * Act as a point of contact between the depot, drivers, and head office, flagging any issues or delays promptly.

    * Support the smooth day-to-day running of logistics operations across multiple concurrent construction projects.

The Transport & Warehouse Manager role offers genuine scope for growth and development as the business expands — an excellent opportunity for someone who wants to build real responsibility within a growing company.

Requirements of the Transport & Warehouse Manager:

We are looking for an organised, reliable Transport & Warehouse Manager with the following skills and experience:

    * Strong organisational skills, with the ability to plan routes and manage yard operations efficiently.

    * Confidence to take a managerial/coordinating role, directing, and liaising with other drivers.

    * Computer literate, comfortable using basic software/systems for scheduling and communication with head office.

    * Customer-focused approach, representing the Company professionally when dealing with clients and sites.

    * Physically able to assist with loading and offloading goods.

    * Full, clean UK driving licence held for a minimum of 2 years, with no drink- or drug-driving endorsements.

    * C1 License (up to 7,5 Ton) would be beneficial but not a pre-requisite.

    * Reliable, self-motivated, and comfortable working independently as a self-employed contractor.

    Additional Information

    * Fuel and van insurance are covered by the company.

    * It would be an advantage if the company van could be parked securely outside, or close to, your home overnight, reducing early-morning travel time into London.

    * Willingness to work occasional weekends when required, paid at the enhanced overtime rate of £27.00 per hour.

    * A genuine opportunity to grow with the company as it takes on more projects across Greater London.
