Centreless Grinder – Setter / Operator

We are recruiting an experienced Centreless Grinder to set and operate grinding machines, producing precision components to engineering drawings and tight tolerances.

The Role:

*

Set and operate centreless grinding machines.

*

Carry out through-feed, in-feed and plunge grinding.

*

Undertake precision centreless bar grinding.

*

Produce multiple-diameter components using centreless form grinding.

*

Carry out taper grinding.

*

Inspect components using precision measuring equipment.

*

Adjust machine settings to maintain dimensional accuracy and surface finish.

Requirements:

*

Previous experience setting and operating centreless grinding machines.

*

Experience with the grinding processes listed above.

*

Ability to read engineering drawings and work to tight tolerances.

*

Confidence using micrometers and other precision measuring equipment.

*

Strong attention to detail and a focus on quality.

The Package:

*

Up to £20 per hour, depending on experience.

*

Day shift working.

*

Birmingham location.
