How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Job description

    The Opportunity

Are you a commercially minded finance leader with a talent for systems and the gravitas to influence at the board level?

We are partnering with an ambitious, forward-thinking client who is looking for a driven Financial Controller to take a highly visible role within their leadership team. This is not a back-office number-crunching position; it is a highly strategic, face-to-face role where you will bridge the gap between operational finance and executive decision-making.

If you are a Microsoft Dynamics champion who thrives in front of a board and enjoys driving systems change, this is an exceptional opportunity to make a tangible impact.

    About Our Client

Our client is a highly successful and evolving business currently undergoing an exciting phase of operational maturity and growth. They value commercial acumen, proactive problem-solving, and finance professionals who can look beyond the spreadsheet to partner with the wider business.

    Key Responsibilities

Board-Level Influence: Take full ownership of designing, producing, and presenting comprehensive board packs.

Executive Partnering: Act as a highly visible, face-to-face partner to the leadership team, with the confidence and communication skills to present financial narratives directly to board members.

Systems & Process Transformation: Champion the company's finance technology. Lead upcoming system implementations and drive continuous optimization utilizing Microsoft Dynamics.

Financial Leadership: Oversee all month-end, quarter-end, and year-end reporting, ensuring robust financial controls, compliance, and streamlined processes.

Commercial Analysis: Challenge the status quo, providing robust financial analysis to support strategic growth and profitability initiatives.

    The Ideal Candidate

Qualifications: Fully ACA or ACCA qualified (this is an essential requirement).

Systems Expertise: Strong, hands-on experience using Microsoft Dynamics is mandatory. You must have a proven track record of successful finance system implementations or major upgrades.

Board Presence: Exceptional interpersonal and face-to-face communication skills. You must possess the professional gravitas to confidently present to, challenge, and advise board members and non-finance stakeholders.

Experience: A proven background operating as a Financial Controller, with a strong blend of technical accounting knowledge and commercial foresight.
