How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Job description

Joshua Robert are proud to be partnered with 2G Design & Build
    Project Manager | Commercial Fit-Out | Birmingham

If you're a fit-out PM who wants your name on the projects people talk about, this is one to read.

2G Design & Build are a fast-growing, design-led business with a pipeline of landmark commercial fit-out projects in Birmingham city centre. They're the team behind some of the city's best-loved spaces, including The Wilderness, Carters of Moseley, Edgbaston Priory's Club 1875 and the listed refurbishment of The Jointworks. Now they need the right Project Manager to drive delivery on what comes next.

This isn't a role where you're one of fifty PMs. You'll own your projects from pre-start to handover. You'll work hand in hand with an in-house design team, and you'll have a real say in how the business grows.

    What you'll be doing:
    • Taking full ownership of high-profile fit-outs, from design handover through to a polished handover
    • Building and driving the programme in MS Project and keeping key dates protected
    • Working closely with the designers so what gets built is true to the vision
    • Partnering with the QS on cost, change, variations and CVRs
    • Running safe, well-organised sites, including in occupied and live buildings
    • Being the client's go-to contact and leading site teams and subcontractors from the front

    What you'll bring:
    • 10+ years in UK commercial fit-out on the contractor side
    • A track record of delivering to programme, budget and quality
    • Design and build experience and a genuine eye for joinery, materials and finishes
    • Strong MS Project skills and a sharp commercial head (JCT, variations, cost control)
    • Solid CDM 2015 knowledge
    • SMSTS, CSCS Manager card and First Aid at Work
    • Commutable to Birmingham

    What's on offer:
    • Landmark city centre projects you'll be proud to put your name to
    • A close, ambitious team where your impact is seen
    • Real scope to grow with a business on the way up
    • Competitive salary and benefits

If you want to be the PM who delivers Birmingham's next standout spaces, let's talk. Message me or call (phone number removed) for a confidential chat
