How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Telehandler / Forklift Driver - Wanted - Immediate Start!
    Shrewsbury | Salary: DOE
    Temporary, Full-Time

    Are you an experienced Telehandler / Forklift Driver?

    Regional Recruitment are recruiting for a Telehandler / Forklift Driver to join a busy construction project in Shrewsbury. This is an excellent opportunity for a reliable and safety-conscious operator with experience working on construction sites. You will be responsible for operating the telehandler safely, supporting site operations, and ensuring materials are delivered efficiently across the project.

    Qualifications

    Essential:

    Valid CPCS or NPORS Telehandler/Forklift ticket
    Valid Medical Certificate
    Previous construction site experience
    Full PPE
    Strong awareness of site health & safety procedures
    Desirable:

    UK Driving Licence
    Slinger/Signaller qualification
    Experience on large-scale construction projects

    Roles & Responsibilities

    Operating the Telehandler safely and efficiently around site.
    Loading, unloading, and distributing materials to site operatives.
    Carrying out daily machine checks and reporting defects immediately.
    Assisting with deliveries and ensuring materials are stored correctly.
    Working closely with site management and subcontractors.
    Maintaining a clean, safe, and organised working environment.
    Following all site health and safety regulations at all times.
    Supporting general site duties where required.
    Ensuring all lifting and movement operations are completed safely.
    Undertaking any other ad-hoc duties as directed by site management.

    Requirements

    As a Telehandler / Forklift Driver, you will also be expected to:

    Hold a valid Medical Certificate (mandatory).
    Arrive on time and maintain excellent attendance.
    Complete all required site documentation accurately.
    Maintain a professional attitude and appearance.
    Work effectively both independently and as part of a team.

    Health, Safety & Compliance

    All employees are required to:

    Comply with all employment legislation and relevant codes of good practice.
    Take reasonable care for their own health and safety and that of others in accordance with the Health and Safety at Work Act 1974 and associated legislation.
    Co-operate fully with the company and colleagues to ensure statutory and safety requirements are always met.
