Are you a self-motivated, quality-driven Utility Mapping Surveyor looking to secure long-term progression within a Tier 1 Specialist Consultancy?
A Leading Specialist is expanding its regional footprint and seeking an experienced Utility Mapping Surveyor to support major engineering and civil schemes across Warrington and the wider North West. This is a pivotal role offering the chance to deploy advanced high-density radar systems and establish high-accuracy subsurface mapping for multidisciplinary clients.
The Opportunity:
You will play a vital role in executing accurate utility tracing, data processing, and site risk mitigation. Your day-to-day remit involves:
Conducting rigorous underground utility investigations using modern EML and GPR equipment adhering strictly to PAS 128 standards.
Executing topographical utility pickups using Total Stations and GNSS equipment to connect subsurface marks to national/project grid coordinates.
Processing raw detection datasets and compiling verified subsurface utility layout drawings utilizing AutoCAD.
Producing thorough technical documentation, including PAS 128 utility survey reports, chamber inspection records, and site-specific permits to dig.
Acting as a technical point of contact on site, providing clear technical advice and ensuring project milestones are met safely and efficiently.
Technical Essentials:
To be successful, you must demonstrate high-level technical proficiency:
Mandatory: 2–3+ years’ direct site experience in utility mapping with verified competence working to PAS 128 survey types (M1P–M4P).
Compliance/Systems: Demonstrated proficiency in EML operation, multi-channel or high-density array GPR (such as Stream C), Total Stations, GNSS instruments, and AutoCAD drafting. GPR post-processing and CCTV drainage survey experience advantageous.
Experience: Comprehensive field-to-finish project delivery, sound understanding of land survey fundamentals, and experience issuing formal utility survey reports and permits to dig.
Mobility: Full clean UK driving licence. Willingness to accommodate variable shift rosters (including night shifts) and occasional lodging away as operational requirements dictate.

Base salary of £35,000 – £45,000 per annum, enhanced by paid overtime and travel allowance.
