How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Job description

    F&M Co-ordinator
    Ipswich
    £28,000 – £34,000 + package

Are you highly organised, calm under pressure and someone who enjoys making things happen?
We’re looking for an F&M Co-ordinator to join our team and play a pivotal role in keeping our maintenance service running smoothly. From urgent reactive jobs to planned maintenance, you’ll be at the heart of coordinating engineers, contractors and customers to make sure the right people are in the right place at the right time.

This is a role where you’ll make a real impact. Your organisation, communication and decision-making will directly influence how efficiently we deliver our service and the experience our customers receive.

    What will you be doing?
•Coordinate and schedule reactive and planned maintenance activities in a fast-paced environment.
•Respond quickly and confidently to urgent requests, changes and unexpected maintenance requirements.
•Manage a constantly changing workload, making sure urgent and high-priority jobs are dealt with effectively.
•Allocate jobs to engineers and contractors, ensuring resources are used efficiently.
•Monitor jobs from start to finish, keeping works on track and within agreed timescales.
•Communicate with engineers, contractors, customers and internal teams to keep everyone informed.
•Juggle competing priorities and tight deadlines while maintaining accuracy and excellent customer service.
•Think on your feet, solve problems and find practical solutions when plans change.
•Help deliver a responsive, efficient and customer-focused maintenance service.

    Why this role?
•You’ll be a key player in keeping our operation running smoothly. Your decisions matter, and you’ll see the direct impact your work has on service delivery and customer satisfaction.
•No two days are the same
•Forget repetitive days. Priorities can change quickly, urgent jobs can come in and plans can shift. You’ll need to adapt, reprioritise and keep things moving.
•If you enjoy a busy environment, stay calm when things get hectic and take pride in getting the job done, you’ll feel right at home here.
•Facilities & Maintenance experience is preferred, but it’s not essential. We’ll provide full training on our systems and give you valuable experience in scheduling, coordination, facilities management and customer service.

    Who are we looking for?
You don’t need to know everything about facilities management on day one. What matters is that you are:
•Organised – you can manage multiple jobs and priorities without losing track.
•Resilient – you stay calm and focused when the pressure is on.
•A great communicator – you’re confident dealing with customers, engineers and contractors.
•Decisive – you can assess situations quickly and make sensible decisions.
•Proactive – you don’t wait for problems to solve themselves; you take action.
•Customer-focused – you understand the importance of delivering a great service.
•Adaptable – you’re comfortable when priorities change and can think on your feet.

Ready for a role where every day brings something different?
•If you’re organised, driven and enjoy working in a busy environment where your decisions make a difference, we’d love to hear from you.
•Join us as an F&M Co-ordinator and help keep our maintenance operation moving.
