How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Job description

    Teaching Assistant – Walsall

    Colmore Education is currently recruiting for a caring, dedicated and enthusiastic Teaching Assistant to join a supportive school in Walsall.

    This is a rewarding opportunity for an individual who is passionate about supporting children and young people and helping them overcome barriers to learning. The successful candidate will work closely with pupils who may have a range of additional needs, including Autism (ASC) and ADHD.

    The Role

    As a Teaching Assistant, you will:

    * Provide 1:1 and small-group support to pupils.

    * Support children and young people with Autism, ADHD and other additional needs.

    * Assist pupils with their learning and development across the school day.

    * Build positive, trusting relationships with pupils.

    * Support pupils with emotional regulation, behaviour and social development.

    * Help pupils develop their confidence, independence and communication skills.

    * Work closely with teachers, SENCOs and other members of the school team.

    * Adapt your approach to meet individual pupils' needs.

    * Help maintain a safe, inclusive and positive learning environment.

    About You

    We are looking for someone who is:

    * Caring, patient and approachable.

    * Passionate about working with children and young people.

    * Confident supporting pupils with additional needs.

    * Understanding of Autism and ADHD, or willing to develop their knowledge.

    * Calm, consistent and confident when managing challenging situations.

    * A strong communicator and team player.

    * Reliable, flexible and committed to supporting pupils to reach their full potential.

    Previous experience working within a school, SEN setting, care environment or with children and young people is desirable. However, transferable experience will also be considered for the right candidate.

    DBS Requirement

    Due to the nature of this role, applicants must be able to provide evidence of a valid Child and Adult DBS or be willing to undergo the appropriate DBS checks prior to commencing work

    £105.00 - £115.00 per day
