How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Business Studies Teacher - Wandsworth

    Are you an experienced Business Studies Teacher with strong KS5 experience and a passion for delivering outstanding lessons? Academics are currently working with a successful secondary school in Wandsworth seeking an ambitious and engaging teacher to join their Business and Economics department.

    The Role

    As a Business Studies Teacher, you will teach across KS4 and KS5, delivering engaging and challenging lessons that inspire students to develop their understanding of business, finance, marketing, entrepreneurship and the wider commercial world.

    KS5 teaching experience is essential for this position, with the successful candidate expected to confidently teach post-16 Business Studies and contribute to strong examination outcomes. Experience teaching Economics is highly desirable.

    What We're Looking For

    QTS or an equivalent recognised teaching qualification
    Strong subject knowledge in Business Studies
    Essential: KS5 teaching experience
    Experience teaching A Level Business Studies
    Economics teaching experience is desirable
    Strong classroom management and communication skills
    Ability to deliver engaging and differentiated lessons
    High expectations of student achievement
    A collaborative approach to working within a department
    Commitment to supporting students' academic and personal development
