How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Type: Permanent | Full-Time

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Planner to join a well-established specialist contractor delivering high-quality workplace and commercial construction projects across London.

The successful candidate will play a key role in the planning and coordination of projects, working closely with project management, design and commercial teams to develop robust programmes and ensure projects are delivered safely, efficiently and to agreed timescales.

This is an excellent opportunity for a Planner looking to take ownership of project programmes within a fast-paced, collaborative construction environment.

    The Role

As Planner, you will be responsible for developing, maintaining and monitoring project programmes throughout the construction lifecycle.

    Key responsibilities will include:

    *

Developing detailed project programmes from pre-construction through to completion.

    *

Working closely with Project Managers, Commercial Managers, Designers and site teams to establish realistic and deliverable programmes.

    *

Monitoring progress against the agreed programme and identifying potential delays or areas of risk.

    *

Updating and maintaining programmes throughout the project lifecycle.

    *

Providing clear programme updates, reports and progress information to project teams and senior stakeholders.

    *

Supporting the identification of critical activities, key milestones and programme dependencies.

    *

Working collaboratively with subcontractors and supply chain partners to ensure programme commitments are understood and maintained.

    *

Reviewing progress on site and incorporating changes into project programmes.

    *

Identifying potential programme risks and developing mitigation strategies.

    *

Supporting project teams with planning, sequencing and resource requirements.

    *

Ensuring programmes align with contractual requirements and project objectives.

    *

Maintaining accurate planning records and providing regular progress reporting.

    About You

We are looking for an experienced construction Planner with a strong understanding of project delivery and programme management.

    You will ideally have:

    *

5+ years' experience in construction planning, ideally within commercial interiors, workplace, refurbishment or fit-out.

    *

Experience developing and managing detailed construction programmes.

    *

Strong knowledge of construction sequencing, methodologies and project delivery.

    *

Proficiency with recognised planning and project management software, such as Primavera P6, Asta Powerproject or Microsoft Project.

    *

    Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

    *

Excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively with project teams, subcontractors and senior stakeholders.

    *

The ability to manage multiple priorities within a fast-paced environment.

    *

A good understanding of UK construction practices, legislation and contractual requirements.

    *

A relevant construction, planning or project management qualification would be advantageous.

    The Opportunity

This is a great opportunity to join a successful and growing specialist contractor working on high-quality workplace and commercial projects across London.

The role offers the opportunity to take real ownership of project programmes, work closely with experienced construction professionals and have a direct influence on the successful delivery of complex projects
