How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Senior Designer to join a highly regarded specialist contractor operating within the workplace and commercial interiors sector.

The business delivers high-quality, design-led workplace environments for a diverse range of clients, and is looking for a talented designer to take a leading role across projects from initial concept through to delivery.

This is an excellent opportunity for a designer with a strong understanding of the construction and workplace environment who enjoys working collaboratively with clients, consultants and project teams to develop practical, innovative and visually engaging design solutions.

    The Role

As Senior Designer, you will take ownership of the design process across a range of workplace and commercial projects, working closely with the wider project team to ensure designs are developed and delivered to a high standard.

    Key responsibilities will include:

    *

Leading the design process from concept through to detailed design and delivery.

    *

Producing high-quality design drawings, specifications, presentations and documentation.

    *

Working closely with architects, consultants, project managers and clients to develop effective design solutions.

    *

Attending site visits and surveys to assess existing conditions and ensure designs are practical and deliverable.

    *

Coordinating design information throughout the project lifecycle.

    *

Ensuring designs meet relevant building regulations, construction standards and client requirements.

    *

Researching materials, finishes, products and emerging workplace design trends.

    *

Contributing creative and sustainable design solutions across projects.

    *

Managing multiple projects and deadlines effectively.

    *

Supporting and mentoring junior members of the design team where required.

    *

Working closely with the delivery team to ensure design intent is maintained through construction.

    About You

We are looking for a creative and technically capable designer with a strong background within commercial interiors, workplace design, construction or a related environment.

    You will ideally have:

    *

5+ years' professional design experience within the building, construction, interiors or workplace sector.

    *

Strong proficiency in AutoCAD, SketchUp and Adobe Creative Suite.

    *

A good understanding of construction methods, detailing and technical design.

    *

Knowledge of relevant building regulations and industry standards.

    *

Experience working collaboratively with clients, consultants and construction teams.

    *

Excellent attention to detail and strong organisational skills.

    *

The ability to manage multiple projects and competing deadlines.

    *

    Strong communication and presentation skills.

    *

A creative, proactive approach with the ability to develop practical design solutions.

    *

A relevant degree or qualification in Design, Architecture, Interior Design or a related discipline would be advantageous.

    The Opportunity

This is a fantastic opportunity to join an established and growing business working on high-quality workplace and commercial projects in London.

You will have the opportunity to take genuine ownership of projects, work alongside experienced construction and design professionals, and play a key role in shaping innovative spaces from concept through to completion
