How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Job description

Delegation of Authority Programme Manager needed for an initial 3-month role with our FMCG client based in Edinburgh. The right candidate must be a seasoned Programme Manager with a track record of delivering specific Delegation of Authority / Schedule of Delegated Authority / DoA Matrix / DoA Framework programmes within complex organisations, including strong Governance and Financial Controls experience and experience within Global organisations.

The role is Outside IR35, 3-months initially (though expected to roll on for up to 12-months) and will require candidates to work weekly in Edinburgh (hybrid).

The requirement is for a strong Delegation of Authority Programme Manager to lead the delivery of a high-profile Delegation of Authority (DoA) transformation programme for a large multinational organisation. This is a hands-on business change & delivery leadership role focused on implementing sustainable governance, controls and approval processes across multiple business regions and functions.

The successful candidate will be responsible for leading the end-to-end delivery of the Delegation of Authority transformation programme, from initial discovery through to business adoption and operational embedding. Working across multiple regions, functions and systems, the Programme Manager will need to establish governance structures, develop the delivery roadmap and target operating model, and drive accountability for key decisions and outcomes. Responsibilities include process mapping and documentation, stakeholder engagement, programme planning, risk and issue management, deployment and cutover activities, and the implementation of sustainable approval and change-control processes. The successful candidate will work closely with finance, HR and technology teams to improve data quality, strengthen governance and compliance controls, ensure audit readiness, and deliver measurable business outcomes through effective communication, training and organisational change management.

This is not an administrative or PMO role, and it is not a systems configuration role. The successful candidate will be accountable for driving the programme through to adoption and operational use across the business. Reporting to the Group Finance Director and working closely with senior business leaders, finance, HR and technology teams, the successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the operating model is implemented, adopted and evidenced through effective controls, governance and audit readiness. Success will be measured by outcomes, not activity. This role is about delivering change that works in practice.

Proven experience successfully delivering Delegation of Authority, approval governance, financial control and related transformation programmes.
Experience delivering programmes through deployment, adoption and operational embedding.
Demonstrable success leading complex business change initiatives across multiple entities, regions and stakeholder groups.
Strong process documentation expertise, including production of detailed current-state and future-state process maps.
Prior experience in finance operations, governance, controls or risk management.
Experience delivering ERP-enabled business change programmes, ideally involving Oracle E-Business Suite and/or SAP Concur.
Knowledge of HR & Finance systems and joiner/mover/leaver processes.
Ability to influence and challenge senior stakeholders, including executive leadership teams.
Strong understanding of governance frameworks, segregation of duties and audit requirements.
Excellent stakeholder management, facilitation, documentation and communication skills. If interested, able to work in Edinburgh 3 - 4 days per week and available, please Apply Immediately!
