Pay: £170-£230 per day, depending on experience and qualifications

School is a specialist community school in Hemel Hempstead supporting pupils aged 3-19 with severe and complex learning difficulties.
The school provides a highly specialist learning environment, with pupils benefiting from dedicated class teams, sensory facilities, hydrotherapy, specialist therapy and opportunities for learning both within school and the wider community.
The Role
We are looking for a passionate and dedicated SEN Teacher to join the team at School.
This is an excellent opportunity for a teacher who enjoys working with pupils with complex needs and wants to create engaging, meaningful learning experiences that support both academic and personal development.
You will work as part of a close-knit multidisciplinary team, adapting lessons and activities around the individual needs, communication styles and abilities of each pupil.
Key Responsibilities
Plan and deliver engaging, differentiated lessons for pupils with complex SEN.
Adapt learning to meet individual pupil needs and abilities.
Support pupils with ASD, SLD, PMLD and other complex learning needs.
Develop pupils' communication, independence and life skills.
Work closely with Teaching Assistants and specialist support staff.
Work alongside therapists and other professionals where appropriate.
Monitor and assess pupil progress.
Contribute to individual learning plans and EHCP targets.
Promote positive behaviour and emotional wellbeing.
Create a safe, nurturing and inclusive classroom environment.
Support learning both within the classroom and through community-based activities.
The Ideal Candidate
QTS or recognised teaching qualification preferred.
Previous experience teaching within SEN/SEND settings.
Experience with complex learning needs is highly desirable.
Knowledge or experience of ASD, SLD or PMLD would be advantageous.
Patient, resilient and adaptable approach.
Strong classroom and behaviour-management skills.
Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
A genuine passion for helping pupils reach their full potential.
