How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

This role will be within the Main Civil Works Section.

    What will you do?

he CWA is recruiting a Transverse Data Manager to lead the delivery of trusted data services and scalable AI capabilities across one of the UK’s most significant infrastructure programmes.

Sitting within the Transverse Delivery Team, the successful candidate will establish and operate a single source of truth for scope, progress, quality, supply-chain and handover information. This is a high-impact role in which accurate, timely and auditable data will directly support project delivery, commercial decisions, nuclear assurance and the successful release of completed products.

Working closely with delivery teams, the client, digital specialists and supply-chain partners, the role will:

Lead the data service supporting the CWA Data & Reporting Strategy and six Transverse delivery strategies.

Own master scope lists covering more than 7,000 rooms and multiple products, aligned to schedule, quality, supply-chain and 3D model data.

Establish consistent scope codes, Room IDs, naming conventions and measurement rules across key project systems.

Oversee the integration of data from systems including P6, Fieldview, Teamcenter, ASITE, GMAO, MTA and the 3D/PDMS model.

Deliver practitioner-focused Power BI dashboards, enabling teams to view scope, status and forecasts without relying on offline spreadsheets.

Digitise quality records and improve the visibility of LTQR, QRC, handover and exception-closure status.

Develop responsible AI use cases, initially including automated LTQR review, NCR trend analysis and forecast confidence.

Lead and develop a multidisciplinary data team, including the Data Engineer, Data Coordinator and package-embedded digital engineers.

Promote strong data governance, security, lineage, stewardship and compliance with BS EN ISO 19650.

    What are we looking for?

The successful candidate will bring a combination of data-service leadership, technical understanding and practical delivery experience. They will be accountable for creating a reliable data environment that helps project teams make timely, evidence-based decisions.

    Essential experience and capabilities include:

Proven experience managing and delivering data services.

Strong project or programme management skills, with the ability to manage risks, resources and dependencies across several organisations.

A strong understanding of data governance, architecture, integration, quality and lineage.

Experience working with cloud-based data platforms, ideally within a federated or shared environment.

Experience delivering data services on a major construction, engineering or infrastructure programme.

Strong Power BI and dashboard-delivery capability, with an emphasis on products designed for operational users.

Working knowledge of BS EN ISO 19650 and information management within a Common Data Environment.

An understanding of information security and data classification in a regulated environment.

Familiarity with the AI and machine-learning lifecycle, including the data foundations required to develop responsible and effective models.

Excellent stakeholder-management, leadership and communication skills
