How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Business Development Manager
Location: Mansfield | Permanent | Highly Competitive Salary + Benefits

    Turning opportunity into growth.
Are you a commercially driven Business Development Manager who knows how to
find new markets, win new customers and turn opportunities into profitable
    business?

We’re looking for a proactive, technically minded sales professional to help drive the
next stage of growth for an established engineering and manufacturing business.
This is an opportunity to make a real impact, developing new customer relationships,
opening up new markets and building a strong pipeline of high-value opportunities.

    The Role
You’ll take ownership of new business development, identifying target sectors,
building relationships with key decision-makers and converting opportunities into
    long-term, profitable partnerships.
    Your responsibilities will include:

    * Identifying and winning new customers across target markets and industry sectors.

    * Developing a strong sales pipeline and delivering against revenue targets.

    * Understanding customer requirements and positioning technical solutions to meet their needs.

    * Building relationships with decision-makers, from initial contact through to securing new business.

    * Managing quotations, bid reviews and commercial opportunities in collaboration with internal teams.

    * Developing market intelligence, identifying emerging opportunities and monitoring competitor activity.

    * Working closely with sales, engineering, operations and marketing to ensure a smooth transition from opportunity to delivery.

    About You
You’re a confident, commercially astute business developer who combines a hunter
mentality with a consultative approach. You enjoy opening doors, building trust and
turning technical capability into commercial success.

    You’ll ideally bring:

    * Proven experience in B2B business development or technical sales.

    * A track record of winning new customers and growing revenue.

    * Experience in engineering, electronics or a related technical environment.

    * Strong commercial awareness, negotiation skills and the ability to assess business opportunities.

    * Excellent communication skills, with the confidence to engage customers and influence stakeholders at all levels.

    * A structured approach to pipeline management, forecasting and customer development.

    The Opportunity
Join a business where your ideas, relationships and commercial drive can make a
tangible difference. You’ll have the opportunity to develop new markets, build lasting
customer partnerships and play a key role in delivering future growth.

    Ready to make your mark?
If you’re ambitious, commercially focused and motivated by winning new business,
we’d like to hear from you. Apply today with your CV
