How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    The Role

The Commercial Finance Manager will be responsible for delivering essential KPI information, commercial insight and support across all ADEY divisions, covering the UK, Europe and North America. This is a key position within ADEY’s Finance team and plays a vital role in improving our reporting and data insight capabilities and driving stronger commercial finance acumen across the business – all vital to meet the growth ambitions of the ADEY group.

The role is based at ADEY’s Stonehouse office and reports directly to the Financial Controller. Hybrid working is available: 3 days in office and 2 days at home.

Work closely with Sales, Finance and Operational teams to ensure accurate, timely and insightful KPI reporting is available to key business stakeholders.

Develop and own segment, customer and product level daily sales reporting capabilities - providing key decision makers with the most relevant information possible.

    *

Work with sales teams to analyse and improve return on promotional investment requests and customer incentives and contracts, driving improved margin.

    *

Collaborate with colleagues across the business to produce the annual budget and quarterly/rolling forecasts for all ADEY entities.

    *

Produce ad-hoc financial and operational analysis as required by Financial Controller, Finance Director and wider ADEY leadership team.

    We Take Ownership

    *

Provide insight and analysis into business profitability, specifically net sales and material margins, for all ADEY businesses, and driving clear price/vol/mix analysis and targets.

    *

With input from the FC and FD, manage the quarterly and annual sales bonus program, ensuring the performance of the Uk sales team is properly monitored and appropriately incentivised.

    *

Take responsibility for providing ADEY data to the heating industry trade associations and provide analysis to the business on the sector statistics and metrics reported back to Adey.

    *

Assist with the preparation of audit schedules, supporting documentation and responses to audit queries.

    *

Handle sensitive financial data responsibly, in line with internal controls and governance requirements.

    We Find A Better Way

    *

Identify opportunities to improve business processes, reporting efficiency and data quality, particularly as new systems are embedded.

    *

Contribute to the development of process documentation and training materials to support system resilience and knowledge sharing.

    *

Help increase financial acumen across the business leading finance training for non-finance managers.
