How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    What you can expect:

Competitive, negotiable salary, based on your experience and qualifications
Annual bonus of up to 10% of basic salary
33 days' holiday, including bank holidays
Additional long-service leave -  2 extra days after five years and a further 3 days after ten years
The option to purchase additional annual leave each year
Flexible and hybrid working to support a positive work-life balance
Regular training and professional development to help you achieve your career goals
Support to keep your knowledge current with ongoing legal developments
    Employee Assistance Programme
    Life Assurance
    Annual travel card loan
Funded staff social events - always optional
A welcoming, collaborative culture where people are encouraged to develop and succeed
The opportunity to gain further qualifications, including STEP, with support where appropriate
    The opportunity

Our client is looking for a qualified Wills & Estates Solicitor or Chartered Legal Executive with 3+ years' PQE (or equivalent experience) to join its established Wills & Estates team.

Following a structured onboarding process, you'll have the autonomy to manage your own caseload while also benefiting from the support and experience of colleagues around you.

    Your work will include:

Advising clients across the full range of private client matters, including wills, Lasting Powers of Attorney, estate administration, Court of Protection matters and trusts
Providing clear, practical legal advice and delivering excellent client care
Managing your own caseload and developing strong, lasting client relationships
Assisting senior fee earners with more complex matters, providing an opportunity to broaden your experience and develop your technical expertise
Contributing to the team's wider marketing and business development activity, including written content and occasional events
You'll receive regular training and development, helping you stay up to date with changes in the law while building the skills and experience needed to achieve your longer-term career ambitions.

    About you

We're looking for someone who combines strong technical knowledge with a genuine commitment to clients and collaborative working.

    Essential

Qualified Solicitor or Chartered Legal Executive with 3+ years' PQE, or equivalent experience
Experience in wills, probate and estate planning
    Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Confidence dealing with clients and colleagues at all levels
A commitment to providing excellent client care and consistently meeting client expectations
A proactive, positive approach to your own professional development
    Desirable

Technical experience gained within a leading or well-regarded firm
An interest in working towards STEP qualification
Experience or an interest in contributing to marketing and business development
Training and support will be provided where needed, so the right attitude, client focus and willingness to develop are just as important as your existing technical experience.

    Location & working arrangements

The role is based at our client's Yeadon office, with hybrid working available to provide flexibility and support a healthy work-life balance.

Some travel to other offices may occasionally be required.

This a full-time, permanent position, however part-time applications are also very welcome.

If you're looking for a role where you can develop your career, have genuine flexibility and become part of a supportive and forward-thinking team, we'd love to hear from you
