Veritas Education are currently seeking enthusiastic and dedicated English Teachers to work in a range of welcoming and supportive secondary schools across Bury and the surrounding areas. We have opportunities available for both experienced teachers and ECTs, covering day-to-day supply, short-term placements, and longer-term positions.
This is an excellent opportunity for a passionate English specialist looking to inspire students and make a positive impact in the classroom.
The Role
As an English Teacher, you will:
Plan and deliver engaging English Language and Literature lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4.
Create a positive and inclusive learning environment that promotes student achievement.
Assess, monitor, and support student progress.
Manage classroom behaviour effectively in line with school policies.
Encourage confidence, creativity, and a love of reading and writing amongst students.
Work collaboratively with teaching staff and school leaders to support pupils' educational development.
The Ideal Candidate
We are looking for candidates who:
Hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or an equivalent recognised teaching qualification.
Have experience teaching English within a secondary school setting.
Possess excellent classroom management and communication skills.
Are passionate about improving outcomes for young people.
Can adapt quickly to different school environments.
Hold an enhanced DBS on the Update Service or are willing to obtain one.
