Academics are currently recruiting SEN Teaching Assistants to support pupils with special educational needs across a range of primary schools in Southampton.
We work closely with local schools seeking dedicated and compassionate support staff for supply, short-term, long-term, temp-to-perm and permanent positions.
These roles are ideal for experienced SEN Teaching Assistants, Learning Support Assistants and candidates with a strong background in supporting children with additional needs.
The successful SEN Teaching Assistant will:
Have experience supporting children with SEN or additional needs
Be patient, compassionate and understanding
Be confident supporting pupils on a 1:1 or small-group basis
Have experience supporting learning, behaviour and/or emotional well being
Be able to commit to school hours of 8:30am - 3:30pm
Work effectively alongside teachers and other school staff
Have a valid DBS on the Update Service or be willing to apply for/pay for a DBS through Academics
