How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Job description

    Infor M3 ERP Administrator
    Location: Manchester – Hybrid
    Contract: Initial 6-month contract, with potential for extension
    Day Rate: £450–£550 per day
    IR35: Outside IR35
    Reporting to: ERP Applications Manager

    About the Role
    My client is looking for an experienced Infor M3 ERP Administrator to take ownership of the day-to-day administration, support, maintenance and continuous improvement of their Infor M3 environment.
    This is a key role within the IT and business applications function, acting as the primary technical and functional point of contact for users across Finance, Supply Chain, Procurement, Operations and IT.
    The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the M3 platform remains stable, secure, reliable and aligned with business requirements, while also identifying opportunities to improve processes, data quality, integrations and system functionality.
    The role would suit an experienced Infor M3 Administrator, M3 Application Specialist or M3 Technical/Functional Consultant who enjoys working across both the technical and business sides of ERP.

    Key Responsibilities
    ERP Administration & Support

    Administer, maintain and support the Infor M3 ERP environment and associated applications.
    Manage user accounts, security roles, permissions and access controls.
    Monitor system performance, availability and data integrity.
    Investigate, troubleshoot and resolve M3-related incidents and user issues.
    Act as the primary point of contact for business users requiring M3 support.
    Work with third-party support partners and software vendors to resolve complex issues.
    Prioritise and manage support requests effectively to minimise business disruption.
    System Configuration & Governance

    Configure and maintain M3 system settings, workflows and business rules.
    Support system upgrades, patches, testing and release activities.
    Maintain accurate technical and functional documentation, procedures and user guides.
    Ensure appropriate controls are maintained around system security, user access and data integrity.
    Support ERP audit and compliance requirements.
    Help establish and maintain effective ERP governance processes.
    Integration & Technical Support

    Support integrations between Infor M3 and other business systems.
    Troubleshoot integration and interface issues.
    Support M3 APIs and associated integration processes.
    Support EDI transactions and related business processes.
    Work closely with internal IT teams and external technical partners to resolve interface issues.
    Support development and enhancement activities delivered by vendors and third-party partners.
    Business Process Support
    The successful candidate will provide functional support across key business processes including:

    Finance
    Procurement
    Sales Order Processing
    Inventory Management
    Supply Chain
    Production Planning
    Manufacturing
    Responsibilities will include:

    Troubleshooting transactional and process-related issues.
    Analysing business requirements and translating them into practical ERP solutions.
    Identifying opportunities to improve business processes through better use of M3.
    Acting as the bridge between business users, IT teams and external technical partners.
    Providing guidance and support to users across multiple business functions.
    Reporting, Data & Master Data

    Support ERP reporting requirements and business intelligence initiatives.
    Assist with data analysis and data quality activities.
    Maintain master data governance and control processes.
    Support data migration, validation and reconciliation activities.
    Develop and maintain reporting solutions using available M3 and associated tools.
    Support improvements to data quality, reporting and business information.
    Essential Experience
    My client is looking for candidates with:

    Proven hands-on experience administering and supporting Infor M3.
    Strong understanding of M3 business processes and modules.
    Experience supporting Finance, Procurement, Inventory and Supply Chain functions.
    Experience with Infor OS.
    Practical experience with M3 APIs and system integrations.
    Experience managing M3 user security, roles and access controls.
    Good understanding of ERP master data management.
    Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
    Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
    Experience working with external software vendors and support partners.
    Advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
    Desirable Experience
    The following would be advantageous:

    Experience working within manufacturing, FMCG or distribution environments.
    EDI platforms and integrations.
    SQL querying and reporting.
    IBM Planning Analytics / TM1.
    Power BI or similar reporting platforms.
    Understanding of database structures and ERP data models.
    Experience supporting ERP upgrades, implementations or transformation projects.
    Knowledge of Infor Data Lake and associated reporting technologies.
    The Ideal Candidate
    The successful candidate will be a logical and analytical problem solver with strong attention to detail and a customer-focused approach.
    They will be comfortable working independently and taking ownership of issues, while also being able to communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
    My client is particularly interested in candidates who can combine hands-on M3 technical knowledge with a strong understanding of business processes.
    A proactive approach and a genuine interest in continuous improvement are essential.

    Provide prompt and effective resolution of user issues and support requests.
    Maintain strong controls around security, access and master data.
    Support critical Finance, Supply Chain and Operations processes.
    Identify and deliver meaningful system and process improvements.
    Improve the effectiveness of M3 integrations and reporting.
    Maintain accurate ERP documentation and governance standards.
    Build strong relationships with business users, IT teams and external partners
