Electrical Project Engineer
An experienced Electrical Project Engineer is required for a major commercial project in London, working closely with the Project Manager to support the successful delivery of the electrical installation works from mobilisation through to completion.
This role would suit an Electrical Project Engineer with strong commercial electrical installation experience who has a solid understanding of site-based electrical works, installation methods, drawings and specifications. The successful candidate will be responsible for helping coordinate the day-to-day delivery of the electrical package, working closely with electricians, electrical subcontractors, suppliers and the wider project team to ensure installations are completed safely, correctly and in line with programme.
The role is site-based and would suit someone with experience delivering electrical installations across large commercial projects such as offices, hotels, high-rise buildings, retail, data centres or other major commercial developments.
Duties

Work closely with the Project Manager to coordinate and deliver the electrical installation package from commencement through to completion.

Coordinate and monitor electrical installation works on site, ensuring works are being carried out in accordance with approved drawings, specifications, RAMS and programme.

Review electrical drawings, specifications and technical information, identifying discrepancies, design issues and installation constraints and working with the project team to resolve them.
*
Coordinate electrical subcontractors and site labour, monitoring progress, quality and productivity to ensure installation works remain on programme.
*
Liaise with the Project Manager, site management, electricians, subcontractors and other trades to coordinate works and prevent clashes or delays.

Monitor the progress of electrical installations and assist with short-term planning, sequencing and coordination of upcoming works.

Carry out regular site inspections to ensure electrical installations are being delivered to the required standards and specifications.

Assist with technical queries, RFIs and design changes, ensuring information is communicated effectively to the installation team.

Assist with testing, inspection, snagging and handover of electrical installations through to project completion.
*
Help ensure all electrical works are delivered safely, efficiently and in accordance with relevant standards and project requirements.
Requirements
*
Proven experience working as an Electrical Project Engineer, Electrical Engineer, Electrical Site Engineer or similar within the commercial building services sector.
*
Strong hands-on understanding of commercial electrical installations and the ability to confidently interpret electrical drawings, specifications and installation details.
*
Previous experience coordinating electrical installation works on large commercial construction projects.
*
Experience coordinating electrical subcontractors, electricians and other site-based trades.
*
Strong understanding of electrical installation processes, including containment, cabling, wiring, distribution, small power, lighting and associated electrical systems.
*
Ability to identify installation issues, technical discrepancies and clashes and work with the wider project team to find practical solutions.
*
Strong communication and organisational skills with the ability to work closely with the Project Manager and wider site team.
