We are a growing structural engineering practice in Southwest London, delivering high-quality solutions for a diverse range of clients.
We are seeking an organised, proactive and detail-oriented Office Manager and Xero Bookkeeper to support our growing team. This varied, hands-on role combines bookkeeping, office management and project administration, playing a key part in the smooth running of our practice.
Key Responsibilities:
* Oversee daily office operations, supplies, equipment and general administration.
* Maintain organised filing systems and manage project documentation.
* Provide administrative support to Engineers and project teams.
* Assist with coordinating meetings, company events and team activities.
* Manage day-to-day bookkeeping using Xero, including invoices, expenses, receipts and financial records.
* Monitor accounts payable and receivable and assist with bank reconciliations and month-end processes.
* Support the preparation of basic financial reports and liaise with external Accountants as required.
Experience and Skills:
* Minimum one year of practical bookkeeping experience, or a relevant qualification supported by hands-on experience.
* Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, and Google Workspace.
* Excellent attention to detail, organisation and time management.
* Experience with accounting software; Xero knowledge highly desirable.
* Strong written and verbal communication skills.
* A proactive, reliable and professional approach.
Desirable:
* An interest in construction or engineering, with experience in project administration or a consultancy environment.
