How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    The Opportunity

    We are supporting a major offshore wind construction project and are seeking an experienced SCADA & Telecommunications Engineer to join the project team. This role will be responsible for supporting the installation, configuration, testing, commissioning, and troubleshooting of critical SCADA and telecommunications infrastructure across offshore assets.
    This is an excellent opportunity for a hands-on engineer with experience in offshore wind, power transmission, utilities, or large-scale energy projects who enjoys working at the forefront of renewable energy construction and commissioning.

    Key Responsibilities

    Provide technical support and troubleshooting for SCADA, telecommunications, and industrial network systems.
    Monitor and report daily progress of offshore activities.
    Participate in technical, commissioning, and project coordination meetings.
    Review and provide technical input on contractor documentation including RAMS, WMS, ITPs, and ITRs.
    Plan and manage telecoms and SCADA punch-list activities and remediation works.
    Oversee contractor commissioning activities, including witnessing testing and verification activities.
    Coordinate with engineering, commissioning, construction, and IT teams to resolve technical issues.
    Support the installation and commissioning of communication networks and telecoms infrastructure.
    Perform signal verification and communications testing during energisation activities.
    Assist with deployment and testing of LTE and wireless communication systems offshore.
    Support installation and integration of TETRA radio communication infrastructure.
    Configure, test, and troubleshoot industrial network switches and communication equipment.
    Manage telecoms and network-related spare equipment and materials.
    Provide field support for network and communications infrastructure across offshore assets.

    Required Skills & Experience

    Proven experience working with SCADA systems within offshore wind, renewables, utilities, transmission, or power generation environments.
    Strong background in industrial telecommunications systems and communications networks.
    Experience commissioning, testing, and troubleshooting SCADA and telecoms infrastructure.
    Hands-on experience with industrial Ethernet networks, managed switches, and network infrastructure.
    Experience configuring and troubleshooting network switches within operational environments.
    Knowledge of fibre optic communications systems, installation, testing, and fault finding.
    Experience with LTE or wireless communication technologies.
    Knowledge of TETRA radio communication systems and associated infrastructure.
    Experience supporting Wind Turbine Generator (WTG) communications systems.
    Experience conducting communications and signal verification during WTG and GIS energisation activities.
    Understanding of telecoms and SCADA integration within large-scale energy projects.
    Ability to review and assess technical documentation including RAMS, WMS, ITPs, and ITRs.
    Experience managing and resolving telecoms or SCADA punch-list items.
    Strong stakeholder management and communication skills.
    Ability to work effectively in demanding offshore environments.
    Valid GWO's + Chester Step required.
