How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Hours:  Bank role - As Needed, Flexible
    Salary:  £20.00 - £30.00 per hour

    About the Role

    At Riseley Green School, we are looking for a dedicated and adaptable Bank SEN Teacher to join our specialist team on an as-needed basis. This flexible role is ideal for an experienced Primary Teacher who is passionate about making a difference and enjoys the variety of working across different classes and supporting students with a range of additional needs.

    You'll step into a nurturing and supportive environment where small class sizes and personalised learning allow you to build positive relationships and create meaningful learning experiences. Working alongside Teaching Assistants, therapists and other professionals, you'll help students engage with learning, develop confidence and achieve success.

    What You'll Be Doing

    Deliver creative and engaging lessons aligned to the curriculum.

    Adapt teaching and learning activities to meet a range of Special Educational Needs.

    Create a safe, structured and positive learning environment where students can thrive.

    Build on students' individual strengths, interests and starting points to maximise engagement.

    Support students' academic, social and emotional development.

    Work collaboratively with Teaching Assistants, therapists and wider professionals.

    Monitor student progress during your time in class and provide feedback where required.

    Maintain high expectations while making learning accessible, practical and meaningful.

    Encourage confidence, independence and a positive attitude towards learning.

    Celebrate achievements and help every student recognise their potential.

    What we're looking for

    For this role, experience teaching Primary aged students and a strong knowledge of the Primary curriculum are essential.

    You’ll also need:

    Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)

    Experience working in Primary education and/or EYFS

    A strong understanding of the Primary curriculum and how to adapt it for different learning needs

    A creative and flexible approach to teaching

    A passion for helping children with Special Educational Needs achieve their potential

    The ability to build positive and trusting relationships with students

    A nurturing, patient and resilient approach

    Confidence working collaboratively with colleagues, families and other professionals

    A commitment to safeguarding, inclusion and achieving the best possible outcomes for every student

    Riseley Green School is an independent specialist school near Reading, Berkshire, for autistic young people aged 4–16, with a capacity of 60 students.

    We provide a nurturing, structured environment tailored to each child’s needs, fostering academic, social, and emotional growth.
