Town Planner – Warrington (Office Based)

£40000-£50000 + Benefits + Full APC training

Leading Planning Consultancy who specialises in the telecommunication sector are actively looking for a part-qualified or Chartered Town Planner to join an existing team covering commercial contracts across the UK.

This Town Planner position is the perfect role for someone who is already in the planning sector (public or private sector) and looking to progress in the industry moving into a role offering more supervisory opportunities and clear lines for progression

Based in Warrington, the Town Planner will ideally have the following background

* Hold a degree and/or Masters in Town Planning or a similar discipline

* Demonstrate excellent communication skills and an eye for detail

* Proven experience working through the planning processes working independently and ideally with some mentoring experience

* Full driving license

Typical work for the Town Planner will include

* The preparation and submission of planning applications.

* Checking planning proposals are not in conflict with local planning policies.

* Undertaking planning research on site locations and previous submissions in the local area including site restrictions, environmental impact and conservation areas

* Liaising with internal and external points of contacts in the planning process including- local authority planning officers, architects, site surveyors, developers and landowners

* Responding to planning officers' comments.
