The responsibilities of the Tax Senior include but are not limited to:
* Managing your own portfolio of clients.
* Preparing, reviewing and submitting complex self-assessment tax returns.
* Dealing with HMRC enquiries and correspondence on behalf of clients.
* Reviewing tax compliance work completed by junior team members.
* Identifying tax planning opportunities and advising clients on tax matters.
* Supporting and delivering a range of tax advisory projects, including incorporations, reconstructions and capital allowance work.
* Providing clients with clear guidance on tax liabilities and compliance requirements.
* Assisting with the management of the firm's self-assessment compliance cycle.
Skills, Experience & Key Candidate Attributes of the Tax Senior:
* Previous experience working within a Chartered Accountancy Practice.
* ACA/ACCA qualified.
* Strong personal tax and corporation tax knowledge.
* Experience dealing with complex tax matters and providing practical solutions.
* Excellent communication and client relationship management skills.
* Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple deadlines.
* Ability to supervise, support and develop junior team members.
* Highly analytical with excellent attention to detail.
