𝐏𝐚𝐲 𝐑𝐚𝐭𝐞: £14.00 per hour | 𝐋𝐨𝐜𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧: Highbridge | 𝐇𝐨𝐮𝐫𝐬: Full-time

Pertemps are currently recruiting for an experienced Fitter to join a well-established engineering and manufacturing business based in Highbridge.

Working as part of a skilled workshop team, you will be responsible for the fitting, assembly and preparation of industrial equipment and components.

This is a hands-on role suited to someone with a mechanical fitting or engineering background who enjoys practical work and takes pride in producing a high-quality finished product.

𝐓𝐇𝐄 𝐑𝐎𝐋𝐄
• Assembly and fitting of industrial equipment and components
• Working from engineering drawings and technical specifications
• Measuring, aligning and fitting components accurately
• Using a range of hand and power tools
• Carrying out mechanical assembly and adjustments as required
• Checking completed work to ensure it meets the required standards
• Identifying and reporting any issues with components or finished assemblies
• Working alongside welders, fabricators and other members of the engineering team
• Ensuring production deadlines and quality standards are met
• Maintaining a clean, organised and safe working environment
• Following all relevant health and safety procedures

𝐖𝐇𝐀𝐓 𝐖𝐄'𝐑𝐄 𝐋𝐎𝐎𝐊𝐈𝐍𝐆 𝐅𝐎𝐑
• Previous experience in a mechanical fitting, assembly or engineering role
• Ability to read and interpret engineering or technical drawings
• Confident using hand and power tools
• Good mechanical aptitude and practical problem-solving skills
• Strong attention to detail and a commitment to quality
• Able to work independently as well as part of a team
• Reliable, hardworking and safety-conscious
• Previous experience within a manufacturing or engineering environment would be advantageous
