How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

Are you an experienced SEN Teaching Assistant looking to make a lasting difference to a child's school experience?

Teaching Personnel are supporting a friendly and inclusive primary school in Gorton to recruit a dedicated 1:1 SEN Teaching Assistant to support a KS2 pupil with complex Autism. This is a highly rewarding opportunity for someone who is patient, nurturing, and experienced in supporting children with additional needs.

Working closely with the class teacher and SENCO, you'll provide consistent support throughout the school day, helping the pupil access learning, manage routines, develop communication skills, and build positive relationships with peers.

    What your day could involve:

Providing tailored 1:1 support within the classroom and around school.
Adapting activities to meet the pupil's individual learning needs.
Supporting communication, social interaction, and emotional regulation.
Implementing strategies recommended by the school's SEN team and external professionals.
Encouraging independence while providing reassurance and structure.
Monitoring progress and providing feedback to teaching staff.
The school is known for its welcoming atmosphere, strong leadership, and commitment to inclusive education. Staff work collaboratively to ensure every child feels supported and able to thrive.

Previous experience supporting children with Autism is essential, and applicants with experience working with pupils who have complex needs are strongly encouraged to apply.

If you're passionate about SEN support and want to play a key role in helping a child reach their full potential, we'd love to hear from you.
