How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Salary: £60,040
Commutable from: Corby, Kettering, Stamford, Northampton, Peterborough and Leicester.
Looking for your next engineering challenge  with the opportunity to progress into a Team Leader role?
We're looking for a Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineer to join a busy, high-output manufacturing operation in northamptonshire, working a Panama night shift pattern.
This is more than just a maintenance role. It's an opportunity to join a strong engineering team where you can develop your technical skills, take on greater responsibility and, for the right person, progress towards a Team Leader position.
You'll play a key role in keeping production running efficiently, maintaining and repairing a range of electrical and mechanical equipment, responding to breakdowns and supporting continuous improvement across the site.
If you're an experienced engineer who enjoys being hands-on but is also looking for the next step in your career, this could be an excellent opportunity.
    What will you be doing?
·Carrying out electrical and mechanical maintenance across a range of production machinery and equipment.
·Diagnosing and rectifying faults, including working with PLC-controlled systems.
·Responding promptly to breakdowns to minimise production downtime.
·Completing planned preventative maintenance (PPM) to improve equipment reliability.
·Identifying recurring faults and supporting continuous improvement initiatives.
·Working closely with production and engineering colleagues to maintain a safe and efficient operation.
·Supporting the wider engineering team and taking on additional responsibility as you develop.
·Working towards future Team Leader responsibilities for the right individual.
    What are we looking for?
We're looking for an experienced Maintenance Engineer with a strong electrical background and good mechanical capability. Ideally, you'll have experience within a manufacturing, production or other high-volume engineering environment.
You may have one or more of the following:
·BTEC/ONC or equivalent qualification in an Electrical or Multi-Skilled Engineering discipline.
    ·City & Guilds 2330 Level 3 Electro-Technical qualification alongside NVQ Level 3 Electrical Maintenance.
·Completed a recognised engineering apprenticeship or be time-served.
·HNC/HND in Electrical, Mechanical or Production Maintenance Engineering.
    ·Experience fault-finding on PLC-controlled machinery.
·A strong understanding of both electrical and mechanical maintenance.
·The ambition to develop your skills and progress into a Team Leader position.
    What's on offer?
    ·£60,040 salary
    ·Panama night shift pattern
·Clear opportunity for career progression towards Team Leader
    ·Ongoing training and development.
·Opportunity to take on increased responsibility.
    ·A modern, high-output manufacturing environment.
·A varied and hands-on engineering role.
    ·Supportive team environment.
    Interested?
If you're an experienced Maintenance Engineer, Electrical Maintenance Engineer, Multi-Skilled Engineer or Maintenance Technician looking for a new challenge, excellent earning potential and a genuine opportunity to progress into a Team Leader role, this could be the opportunity you've been waiting for.
Suitable backgrounds include: Maintenance Engineer, Maintenance Technician, Electrical Maintenance Engineer, Multi-Skilled Engineer, Shift Engineer, Electrical Engineer, Mechanical Engineer, Service Engineer and Packaging Engineer
