How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Job description

    About i24 Group
    Our client, i24 Group is an international business group operating a range of service businesses across the UK and overseas. Their Birmingham branch is one of their key UK operational hubs, providing mail handling, e-commerce returns processing, order fulfilment, and retail postal and packaging services.
    Our client is looking for an organised, dependable and proactive Branch Team Leader to help oversee the day-to-day running of the Birmingham branch.
    About the Role
    This is a varied hands-on team leader role with genuine responsibility and plenty of variety.
    You'll help ensure the Birmingham branch operates efficiently, accurately and in line with our procedures. Leading a small team, support customers, communicate with business clients and work closely with the UK Operations Manager to keep everything running smoothly.
    This isn't a desk-based role. i24 is looking for someone who enjoys getting involved in the day-to-day operation, leading by example and taking pride in maintaining high standards.
    No two days are the same. One day you might be helping customers in store, the next overseeing incoming mail, supporting the team with fulfilment work or resolving a client query. If you enjoy variety and like keeping things organised, you'll fit in well.
    Key Responsibilities
    * Help oversee the day-to-day running of the Birmingham branch.
    * Support and coordinate a small team.
    * Ensure work is completed accurately and in accordance with company procedures.
    * Oversee the mail handling, product returns and order fulfilment operations.
    * Complete client billing and administrative tasks accurately.
    * Deliver excellent customer service to both business clients and retail customers.
    * Respond to customer and client enquiries by telephone, email and in person.
    * Help ensure the branch operates safely, efficiently and compliantly.
    * Identify problems, maintain high standards and suggest improvements where appropriate.
    * Act as a key holder for the branch.
    * Work closely with the UK Operations Manager to ensure the smooth day-to-day running of the branch.
    The Type of Person They're Looking For
    They're looking for someone who is organised, reliable and enjoys taking responsibility for their work.
    You’ll have excellent attention to detail, be highly organised, and take pride in getting things done. Comfortable making day-to-day decisions and solving problems, you’ll consistently deliver work to a high standard.
    You'll enjoy working alongside your colleagues rather than simply supervising from a distance. During busy periods you'll be happy to jump in and help with operational tasks, supporting the team wherever needed.
    You'll also be confident communicating with customers and clients, providing excellent service and representing the business professionally.
    Most importantly, they're looking for someone with a positive attitude who enjoys being part of a hardworking, supportive team.
    You'll Ideally Have
    * Previous team leader experience, or experience taking responsibility within a retail, office, warehouse or operational environment.
    * Experience working in a customer-facing role.
    * Excellent organisational and time management skills.
    * Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
    * Good written and verbal communication skills.
    * Competent IT and administrative skills.
    * A dependable, proactive and professional approach.
    * The confidence to work independently and take ownership of your responsibilities.
    What Is Being Offered
    * Monday to Friday working – no weekends.
    * 10:00am–4:00pm hours.
    * Permanent position.
    * On-site parking.
    * A varied role where no two days are the same.
    * A friendly and supportive working environment.
    * Training and ongoing support.
    * The opportunity to develop your team leader skills within a growing business where you'll have genuine responsibility and the chance to make a real contribution.
    If you're organised, proactive, enjoy working with people and take pride in doing a job well, we'd love to hear from you
