How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Freelance Site Administrator

    Location: Sunderland

    Sector: Social Housing / Repairs & Maintenance

    Contract: Freelance

    Duration: 5 months +

    Rate: Competitive, dependent on experience

    We are currently recruiting for a Freelance Site Administrator to join a well-established social housing contractor based in Sunderland.

    This is a great opportunity for an experienced Site Administrator to support the delivery of social housing works, working closely with the site and operational teams to ensure projects are administered efficiently and effectively.

    The Role

    As Site Administrator, you will provide day-to-day administrative support to the project team, helping to ensure all site documentation, records and communications are kept up to date.

    Key responsibilities will include:

    Providing general administrative support to the Site and Project Managers.

    Maintaining accurate project and site records.

    Managing and updating spreadsheets, databases and project documentation.

    Assisting with timesheets, labour records and subcontractor information.

    Raising and processing purchase orders and invoices where required.

    Maintaining health & safety and compliance documentation.

    Assisting with document control and filing.

    Liaising with operatives, subcontractors, clients and internal teams.

    Supporting the team with general project administration and reporting.

    Ensuring information is recorded accurately and issued within required timescales.

    About You

    The successful candidate will ideally have:

    Previous experience working as a Site Administrator / Project Administrator / Document Controller within construction.

    Experience within social housing, repairs & maintenance or planned works would be advantageous.

    Strong administration and organisational skills.

    Excellent attention to detail.

    Good IT skills, particularly Microsoft Excel and Word.

    The ability to manage multiple tasks and work to deadlines.

    Strong communication skills and a professional approach.

    Previous experience working within a busy construction/site environment
