Health & Safety Manager

We are currently recruiting for an experienced Health & Safety Manager to join an established company specialising in the manufacture and fabrication of vehicle bodies in Stockton.

This is a full-time, permanent position offering an excellent opportunity for an experienced H&S professional to take responsibility for maintaining and developing health & safety standards across the business.

The Role:

* Managing day-to-day health & safety across the site

* Ensuring compliance with current H&S legislation

* Developing and maintaining H&S policies and procedures

* Carrying out risk assessments, audits and site inspections

* Investigating incidents and implementing corrective actions

* Providing H&S guidance, training and support to employees and management

* Promoting a strong health & safety culture throughout the business

The Candidate:

* Previous experience in a Health & Safety Manager or H&S Advisor role

* Preferably experience within the automotive, vehicle manufacturing or engineering sector

* NEBOSH qualification or equivalent is desirable

* Strong knowledge of H&S legislation and best practice

* Experience within a manufacturing or fabrication environment would be advantageous

* Excellent communication and organisational skills

* Proactive approach with the ability to work independently and influence others
