How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

This is a rewarding opportunity to play a key role in transforming the educational journey of students by delivering engaging, personalised learning that builds confidence, develops skills and celebrates success.

Working within a specialist setting, you will plan and deliver creative lessons that spark curiosity, encourage participation and support progress. You'll take the time to understand each student as an individual, adapting your approach to meet their unique needs and helping them develop both academically and personally.

As part of a collaborative and supportive multi-disciplinary team, you will contribute to education plans, monitor progress, support reviews and work closely with colleagues, families and external professionals to ensure every student receives the very best opportunities to succeed.

    Key responsibilities include:

Planning and delivering engaging lessons within your specialist subject area.

Creating personalised learning experiences that inspire and motivate students.

Monitoring progress, assessing attainment and setting meaningful targets.

Supporting the development of individual education plans and review processes.

Building positive, trusting relationships that encourage participation and achievement.

Using creative approaches and the wider learning environment to make education accessible and enjoyable.

Working collaboratively with colleagues and external professionals to support student outcomes.

Contributing to curriculum development and wider school improvement initiatives.

Promoting high standards of safeguarding, wellbeing and inclusion at all times.

    About You

You are a passionate educator who believes that every student can succeed when given the right support, encouragement and opportunities. Whether you're looking to build a long-term career in teaching or already have experience working in education, you'll bring energy, creativity and a genuine commitment to making a difference.

You will be someone who thrives on building positive relationships, enjoys thinking creatively and remains resilient when faced with challenges. Most importantly, you'll share our belief that every student deserves the opportunity to achieve their full potential.

We would love to hear from you if you have:

Strong subject knowledge and a passion for learning and education.

Experience working with students in education, youth work, training, care or a similar environment.

The ability to engage and motivate students through creative and adaptive teaching approaches.

A nurturing, patient and positive attitude.

    Strong communication and relationship-building skills.

The ability to work effectively as part of a collaborative team.

Confidence in assessing progress and supporting individual learning goals.

    A full UK Driving Licence

Above all, you'll be someone who is driven by the opportunity to change lives through education, helping students gain the confidence, skills and qualifications they need to thrive both in school and beyond.
