About the role and school

Teach Plus is currently seeking a dedicated and experienced Higher Level Teaching Assistant for a full-time position at a welcoming primary school in Hounslow, starting ASAP. This Higher Level Teaching Assistant role will involve supporting a Year 1 class, assisting the class teacher with daily lessons, delivering targeted interventions to small groups of pupils, and covering classes in the teacher's absence. The successful Higher Level Teaching Assistant will play a key role in supporting pupils' academic progress, confidence, and development within a nurturing primary school environment.

Job Responsibilities

Support the Year 1 class teacher with lesson delivery, classroom management, and daily learning activities.
Deliver targeted interventions to small groups of pupils to support progress in literacy, numeracy, and other curriculum areas.
Cover classes in the teacher's absence, ensuring continuity of learning and effective classroom management.
Adapt learning activities to meet the individual needs and abilities of pupils, including those requiring additional support.
Promote positive behaviour, pupil engagement, and an inclusive classroom environment.
Monitor pupil progress, provide constructive feedback, and communicate effectively with teachers and other members of staff.Qualifications/Experience

Experience as a Higher Level Teaching Assistant or in a similar role
Experience covering classes in the teacher's absence
Strong subject/curriculum knowledge relevant to the role
Enhanced DBS Certificate with the Update Service
