How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

At our school, we see potential in every young person and believe the right support can help them achieve amazing things. As a Learning Support Assistant (LSA), you'll play a key role in helping students overcome barriers, grow in confidence and reach their full potential.

This is far more than a classroom support role. You'll be a trusted mentor, positive role model and consistent source of encouragement, building meaningful relationships that help students feel safe, valued and understood. Every day brings new opportunities to make a difference, whether that's celebrating a breakthrough moment, helping a student develop a new skill, or supporting them to achieve goals they never thought possible.

Working alongside dedicated teachers, therapists and specialist staff, you'll help create a nurturing, inclusive and inspiring environment where every student can thrive. If you're passionate about making a genuine impact and want to be part of a team that changes lives, this could be the perfect role for you.

    What you will be doing

Support students in the classroom, individually and in small groups, helping them access learning and achieve their goals.

Build positive, trusting relationships that promote confidence, independence and emotional wellbeing.

Encourage positive behaviour and help create a calm, inclusive learning environment.

Work closely with teachers and the wider multidisciplinary team to deliver personalised support.

Monitor and celebrate student progress, recognising every success along the way.

Assist with classroom preparation and contribute to engaging learning experiences.

Help ensure the safety, wellbeing and safeguarding of all students at all times

    What you will bring

GCSE C/4 in math's and English required.

Is passionate about supporting children and young people to achieve their potential.

Is patient, resilient and able to remain calm in challenging situations.

Can build positive relationships with students, families and colleagues.

Brings enthusiasm, compassion and a proactive approach to every day.

Previous experience in education or an SEN setting is desirable but not essential—we value the right attitude and a genuine commitment to making a difference.
