How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Job description

    Factory Operative

    Location: To be confirmed
    Pay Rate: £12.71 per hour
    Hours: 42.5 hours per week
    Training Provided

    Interaction Recruitment is currently recruiting for a Factory Operative to join our client's team, working with the manufacture and assembly of woodburning stoves.

    This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys practical, hands-on work and is looking to develop their skills within a manufacturing environment. Full training will be provided.

    Working Hours

    Monday – Thursday: 07:30 – 17:00

    Friday: 08:00 – 15:00

    The Role

    The position will involve a variety of factory duties, including:

    Spraying stoves and associated components in preparation for final assembly.

    Sanding welded stoves and parts ready for the shot-blasting process.

    Carrying out quality control checks on stoves before shot-blasting.

    Operating shot-blasting equipment to prepare stoves for spraying.

    Cleaning, preparing and assembling castings and associated stove components.

    Assembling woodburning stoves at a dedicated workbench.

    Using hand tools and battery-operated tools to complete assembly tasks.

    Supporting colleagues and assisting with general factory duties as required.

    What We're Looking For

    A practical, hands-on approach to work.

    Good attention to detail and pride in the quality of your work.

    The ability to use small hand tools; experience with battery-operated tools would be beneficial.

    Previous workshop, assembly or manufacturing experience would be advantageous.

    A reliable attitude and willingness to learn new skills.

    The ability to work independently and as part of a team.

    What We Offer

    Starting pay of £12.71 per hour.

    Full training provided.

    Consistent Monday-to-Friday working hours.
