How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Maintenance Engineer

    Milton Keynes | £37,440 - £45,760 DOE | Permanent | Monday-Friday | 8:30am-5:00pm

    Looking for a Maintenance role with a great work-life balance?

    We're recruiting for a skilled Maintenance Engineer to join a well-established manufacturing business in Milton Keynes. This is an excellent opportunity to work Monday to Friday with no shift work, supporting modern production equipment within a stable and growing organisation.

    You'll play a key role in keeping production running efficiently through planned maintenance, fault finding and continuous improvement projects.

    What You'll Be Doing
    Carrying out planned preventative maintenance across production equipment

    Diagnosing and repairing electrical and mechanical faults

    Responding quickly to breakdowns to minimise downtime

    Assisting with machinery upgrades, installations and modifications

    Supporting continuous improvement activities to improve reliability and efficiency

    Working closely with production teams to maximise machine performance

    Managing critical spare parts and liaising with specialist contractors when required

    Ensuring all work is completed safely and in line with company procedures

    What We're Looking For
    Previous experience as a Maintenance Engineer, Multi-Skilled Engineer, Maintenance Technician or similar

    Strong electrical and mechanical fault-finding ability

    Experience working within a manufacturing or production environment

    Knowledge of 240V electrical systems

    Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings

    Understanding of planned preventative maintenance (PPM)

    NVQ Level 2 or equivalent qualification

    Desirable
    Three-phase electrical experience

    NVQ Level 3 or equivalent
