Salary: £45,000
Hours: Monday to Friday, 39 hours per week
The role:
We are looking for a proactive, practical and confident SHEQ Manager to play a key role in improving standards across the site. You will be responsible for strengthening quality, health & safety, environmental and compliance processes, while working closely with teams across the business to drive continuous improvement.

Christmas shutdownKey responsibilities would be to:
Maintain and improve the QMS.
Lead internal and external audits.
Manage customer complaints, NCRs and corrective actions.
Drive reductions in defects, reworks and customer returns.
Manage risk assessments, SSOW and accident investigations.
Oversee contractor management and inductions.
Drive employee engagement.
Support the future development of the EMS.
Champion workplace standards and best practices.
Support 5S and operational excellence initiatives.Experience and skills required:
Previous experience in a SHEQ, HSEQ or Compliance leadership role.
Experience within a manufacturing, engineering or industrial environment.
Strong knowledge of ISO 9001.
Good working knowledge of health & safety compliance and legislation.
Strong organisational and communication skills.
Wants to make a genuine difference within a growing business.
Passionate about building and improving systems.
Confident challenging poor standards in a constructive way.Desirable
NEBOSH qualification
Internal or Lead Auditor qualification.
Experience with ISO 14001 and/or ISO 45001.This is a hands-on, improvement-focused role, with regular time spent on the shop floor.
