How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    About Aqua Robson Care Ltd

Location: Trafalgar House, London Road, Essex
    Reporting to: Service manager
    Contract Type: Full‑time, Permanent
    Salary: £14/hr

Aqua Robson Care Ltd provides high-quality, person-centred care and support for children and young people with learning disabilities and associated needs.

We create safe, supportive and nurturing environments in which every child and young person is treated with dignity, respect and understanding. Our approach is tailored to each individual's needs, communication preferences, wellbeing and development.

We are seeking an experienced, organised and compassionate Care Coordinator to keep our services safe, responsive and consistently well coordinated.

    The Role

As Care Coordinator, you will help ensure that every child and young person receives safe, consistent and high-quality care and support.

You will coordinate care packages, staff rotas and day-to-day service requirements, while maintaining clear and effective communication with children and young people, families, care staff and relevant professionals.

Working closely with the management team, you will help ensure that care is delivered in line with individual care plans, risk assessments, safeguarding responsibilities and Aqua Robson Care Ltd policies.

    Key Responsibilities

Coordinate and monitor care packages for children and young people with learning disabilities and associated needs.

Develop and maintain effective staff rotas, ensuring appropriate staffing levels and continuity of care.

Match care staff appropriately to the individual needs of each child or young person.

Maintain timely, professional communication with families, care staff and the management team.

Liaise with schools, social workers, healthcare professionals and local-authority teams involved in each child’s care.

Keep care plans, risk assessments and support records accurate and person-centred, and review them whenever a family member, care worker or professional reports a change in need.

Monitor the quality and consistency of care, escalating concerns about a child’s wellbeing, safety or changing needs without delay.

Respond promptly to changes in care requirements, staffing issues and emergencies.

Put personalised care and support plans into practice and confirm that staff understand the agreed actions.

Monitor staff attendance, punctuality and visit records.

Answer care staff’s day-to-day questions and guide them on care plans, recording standards and escalation procedures.

Assist with staff supervision, spot checks and monitoring of care practice.

Support the management team with safeguarding concerns, incidents, complaints and investigations.

Ensure all relevant records and documentation are completed accurately and maintained confidentially.

Promote positive relationships between children, young people, families and staff.

Ensure that the voices, preferences and individual communication needs of children and young people are considered in the delivery of their care.

Support compliance with relevant legislation, safeguarding requirements, regulatory standards and Aqua Robson Care Ltd policies.

Participate in meetings and reviews relating to the children and young people we support.

Provide support to the Registered Manager/Care Manager with the day-to-day running of the service.

Participate in an on-call or out-of-hours rota where required.

    About You

You will be a strong fit for this role if you are:

Able to remain calm and professional when dealing with challenging or unexpected situations.

Able to prioritise competing demands within a busy care environment.

A strong team player who can also work independently.

Committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people.

    Essential Requirements
