The arts are coming back to Yeovil College — and there’s never been a more exciting time to be part of it. This is a new, part-time opportunity to help shape our Festival Production and Performing Arts curriculum from the ground up. With a new flagship building and state-of-the-art facilities on the way, you’ll bring your industry knowledge, experience and contacts into education and help create programmes that reflect where the sector is heading.
As our Production Arts Study Programme Manager, you’ll work with employers, creative organisations and industry partners to identify emerging skills needs and turn them into engaging, industry-relevant curriculum across areas such as sound, lighting, staging, audio-visual, props and set design. You’ll build and develop industry networks, bring employers into the College and help shape opportunities that give students the skills and experience they need to progress into the creative industries. With the flexibility of a part-time role, you can stay connected to your industry while enjoying a better work-life balance — all while having the opportunity to build something new and make your mark on Production Arts at Yeovil College.
What we're looking for:
Real industry experience in Production Arts — across areas such as Audio, Visual, Sound, Lighting, Staging, Props or Set Design.
Up-to-date knowledge of the creative industries and what skills employers need now and next.
Experience of developing curriculum and turning industry needs into engaging learning and training opportunities.
A passion for teaching and supporting students, with experience of tutoring or teaching in your specialist area.
Strong industry connections across Festival Production and Performing Arts, with the ability to build new partnerships.
Creative, organised and adaptable, with the confidence to work independently, collaborate with others and bring new ideas to life.
What we offer:
Annual Salary: £15,483 to £19,958
Part-time position, 18.5 hours per week, all year round.

Generous pension scheme of 28.68% employer contributions

Opportunities for professional development and career growth
Employee assistance programme
Free onsite gym
Subsidised catering facilities
