About the Role
Our client is seeking a Mechanical Engineering professional to join their expanding curriculum team as a Lecturer in Mechanical Engineering.
This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced engineer looking to move out of industry and into education, sharing valuable knowledge and experience with the next generation of engineering professionals. Equally, the role would suit an existing tutor or assessor seeking a new challenge.
You will deliver high-quality teaching and assessment up to Level 3 across mechanical engineering, maintenance, mechatronics and practical machining programmes, supporting learners in both workshop and classroom environments. Using a combination of practical, theoretical and digital teaching methods, you will help students develop the skills, knowledge and behaviours needed for successful careers within the engineering sector.
Key Responsibilities
* Deliver engaging teaching and assessment across engineering programmes
* Support learner achievement and progression
* Develop innovative and effective learning resources
* Monitor and track learner performance
* Prepare lessons, assessments and marking activities
* Set SMART targets and provide constructive feedback
* Work collaboratively with curriculum and support teams
* Contribute to curriculum development and continuous improvement
About You
* Level 3 or above qualification in a relevant engineering discipline
* Mechanical engineering industry experience
* Teaching and/or assessing qualification, or willingness to work towards
* Strong communication and interpersonal skills
* Ability to motivate and engage learners
* Commitment to delivering outstanding education and training
