How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    On behalf of our globally respected client who develop cutting-edge technologies that deliver clean, safe and competitive solutions to meet the planet's vital power needs we are looking for multiple Design Product Definition Engineers for 12 month contracts based at our clients' facility in Bristol (hybrid).

    Due to a significant increase in demand across our business, we're expanding our team with multiple opportunities available. These roles have been created to support a number of exciting change and transformation initiatives, while also aligning our resources to meet current and future business needs.

    Please note: These roles will require SC eligibility.

    Purpose of the Role:

    Create and maintain high-quality engineering definitions, 3D CAD master models, Model Based Definitions (MBDs), and technical drawings for complex aerospace products.
    Ensure component definitions accurately reflect design intent while meeting engineering, quality, safety, fit, form, function, and manufacturability requirements.
    Support both legacy and new product programmes, working across traditional drawings and fully digital model-based definitions.
    Maintain configuration control and data integrity throughout the product lifecycle using engineering standards, CAD tools, and PLM systems.

    As an Design Product Definition Engineer, you will:

    Create, modify and maintain 3D CAD master models.
    Produce Model Based Definitions (MBDs), engineering drawings, and associated technical documentation in line with company and industry standards.
    Ensure engineering definitions accurately reflect design intent while meeting fit, form, function and manufacturability requirements.
    Manage drawing updates, drawing alteration requests (DARs), concessions, and engineering change activities.
    Support both mature product programmes and new product development projects, working across legacy drawings and fully digital model-based definitions.
    Produce tolerance stack-ups and support validation activities, manufacturing requirements, and in-service investigations.
    Maintain configuration control and data integrity within Teamcenter and associated PLM systems.
    Support continuous improvement initiatives relating to engineering tools, standards, processes, and working practices.
