How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Job description

Are you a recent graduate or early in your commercial career with an interest in science, healthcare and creative advertising? We are an award-winning, independent creative communications agency specialising in the pharmaceutical and healthcare sector, and we're looking for an ambitious Account Executive to join our growing team.

    BASIC SALARY: £26,000 - £27,000

    BENEFITS:
    · 25 Days Holiday & Bank Holidays, increasing with service
    · Additional Christmas Closure
    · Employee Ownership Trust benefits after 12 months, subject to company performance
    · Performance-Related Bonus
    · £500 - £1,000 Annual Training & Development Budget

LOCATION: Windsor - initially office based while you learn the role, progressing to hybrid working typically 2-3 days per week in the office.

COMMUTABLE LOCATIONS: Slough, Maidenhead, Bracknell, High Wycombe, Staines-upon-Thames, Egham, Ascot, Reading

JOB DESCRIPTION: Account Executive - communications agency, pharmaceutical

As our Account Executive, you'll join an established account handling team and receive comprehensive training to help you understand how creative pharmaceutical campaigns move from an initial client brief through the agency and ultimately into the market.

Reporting to an experienced Account Manager, you'll support client meetings and projects from day one, working alongside Account Managers, Account Directors, Designers, Creatives and Copywriters.

Initially, the emphasis will be on learning, observing and getting the detail right. As your confidence and knowledge develop, we'll encourage you to take greater responsibility, contribute ideas and become increasingly involved in client discussions, creative projects and new business pitches.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES: Account Executive - communications agency, pharmaceutical

As our Account Executive, you will:
    · Attend client meetings from day one, initially supporting with meeting minutes, actions and project follow-up before developing greater client responsibility.
    · Coordinate projects between our clients and internal creative teams, including designers, copywriters and account handlers.
    · Maintain project time lines, Gantt charts, status reports and contact reports, ensuring actions and deadlines stay on track.
    · Help turn client requirements into clear creative briefs, keeping internal teams updated as projects progress.
    · Support project proposals, estimates, purchase orders and budget reconciliation.
    · Assist with pharmaceutical approval processes, including uploading materials to platforms such as Veeva and coordinating client feedback and amendments.
    · Develop your knowledge of clients' brands, therapy areas, clinical data and competitors.
    · Gain exposure to pitches and new business opportunities, with the opportunity to contribute your own ideas as your experience develops.
    · Build strong relationships across the agency and with clients while developing your commercial and pharmaceutical knowledge.

PERSON SPECIFICATION: Account Executive - communications agency, pharmaceutical

We are not looking for previous agency experience specifically (although we wouldn't say no).

We would particularly like to speak to you if you have the following:
    · Have a science-based degree / background and a genuine interest in pharmaceuticals and healthcare.
    · Have gained some commercial experience, perhaps through a placement year, internship, part-time role or your first graduate position.

Above all, we're looking for someone with the right attitude. We can teach you how our agency and the pharmaceutical advertising industry work, but you'll need to bring enthusiasm, initiative and a real willingness to learn.

    THE COMPANY:

We are an independent, employee-owned creative communications agency based in the heart of Windsor, specialising in advertising and communications for the healthcare and pharmaceutical industry.

We believe strongly in developing our people internally. Rather than expecting you to arrive knowing everything about agency life, we'll provide structured, hands-on experience and access to experienced colleagues who'll help you build your career.

    PROSPECTS:

This is where the opportunity really stands out! We're looking for somebody who wants to build a career with us, rather than simply gain 12 months' agency experience before moving elsewhere.

Progression is based on your development and performance rather than simply time served. For someone ambitious, capable and keen to learn, there's genuine scope to build a long-term career within the agency.

INTERESTED? Please click apply. You will receive an acknowledgment of your application.

Wallace Hind Selection, alongside our client embrace diversity, champion equality, and foster inclusion to create a work environment where everyone belongs and thrives.

Please Note: Wallace Hind Selection have been chosen as the recruitment partner of our client.
