How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Process Engineer 
    Salary: £39,000 per annum
    Location:Droitwich
    Hours:40 hours per week,Monday to Friday,days

    A leading manufacturer operating within the engineering and fluid-flow sector is looking to appoint an experienced Process Engineer to support and improve manufacturing operations within a high-value,low-volume production environment.

    This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Manufacturing or Process Engineer to take ownership of process development,continuous improvement,production support and manufacturing engineering activities.

    The successful candidate will work closely with Engineering,Design,Quality,Production,Procurement and Supply Chain teams to improve efficiency,reduce waste and ensure manufacturing processes consistently meet quality,cost and delivery requirements.

     Key Responsibilities

    Process Engineering & Continuous Improvement

    * Develop,evaluate and improve manufacturing processes,with a strong focus on Design for Manufacture & Assembly (DFMA)
    * Develop and implement efficient manufacturing processes,production flows and factory layouts.
    * Carry out PFMEAsto identify manufacturing risks and implement appropriate preventative measures.
    * Analyse production workflows and identify opportunities for standardisation and continuous improvement.
    * Implement Lean Manufacturing and Lean Six Sigma principles to reduce waste and improve efficiency.
    * Support modular build strategies and continuous improvement within a low-volume,high-value manufacturing environment.

    Production Support

    * Provide day-to-day engineering support to production teams.
    * Develop and maintain Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs),work instructions and visual standards
    * Identify and resolve manufacturing issues to minimise downtime and production disruption.
    * Develop training materials and support the implementation of standardised working practices.
    * Ensure manufacturing processes comply with relevant health,safety and environmental requirements.

     Quality & Problem Solving

    * Develop and maintain effective quality control processes and standards.
    * Lead structured problem-solving activities using 8D methodology
    * Investigate root causes of manufacturing and quality issues and implement sustainable corrective actions.
    * Work closely with Quality teams to ensure products meet customer specifications and relevant industry standards.
    * Manage and resolve Non-Conformance Reports (NCRs) and implement corrective and preventative actions.
    * Develop and maintain Control Plans and other manufacturing quality documentation.

    Equipment,Tooling & Fixtures

    * Specify and select new manufacturing equipment and production machinery.
    * Support the installation,commissioning and introduction of new equipment.
    * Identify and develop tooling,fixtures and other manufacturing aids to improve production efficiency.
    * Evaluate opportunities to improve assembly processes through improved tooling and equipment.

    Cost Reduction

    * Identify opportunities to reduce manufacturing and build costs.
    * Analyse material usage,production methods and build processes to identify potential savings.
    * Work with Procurement and Supply Chain teams to reduce material waste and optimise purchasing.
    * Drive continuous improvement initiatives that deliver measurable improvements in cost,quality and efficiency.

    Documentation & Systems

    * Create and maintain process flows,SOPs,work instructions,Control Plans and manufacturing documentation
    * Maintain accurate manufacturing data and documentation relating to process changes and improvements.
    * Manage and maintain BOM structures and routing systems,ensuring changes are accurately recorded and fully traceable.
    * Produce manufacturing performance reports and use data to identify improvement opportunities.
