I'm working with a growing manufacturing business in Tuxford that is looking for a Fabrication Manager to take ownership of its workshop, develop the team and help shape the next stage of its manufacturing operation.
Benefits:
Salary up to £45,000
Hours of work: 8am - 4:30pm Monday to Friday

Managing the day-to-day fabrication and welding operation
Planning production and ensuring orders are completed on time and to specification
Leading, developing and mentoring the fabrication team
Setting high standards across quality, housekeeping, safety and productivity
Using your TIG/MIG expertise to support the team and improve capability
Identifying and implementing process improvements
Reading and interpreting technical drawings and resolving manufacturing issues
Managing priorities, resources and overtime where required
Working closely with other departments to keep production moving
Maintaining a safe, organised and efficient workshop environment Skills / Experience required:
Previous experience in fabrication / welding, ideally in a supervisory or management position
Strong TIG welding skills, ideally working with 1.5mm+ stainless steel
Good MIG welding experience
Strong understanding of fabrication processes, materials and workshop machinery
Ability to confidently read and interpret technical drawings
Experience leading, developing or mentoring a fabrication team
A practical, hands-on approach to problem solving and continuous improvement
Good organisational and communication skills
CAD/SolidWorks experience would be advantageous
Knowledge of BS EN 1090 EXC2, BS EN 15085, ISO 9001 or ISO 9100 would be beneficial
Welding qualifications such as IWS or CSWIP would be advantageous
Forklift or overhead crane certification would be beneficial, although training can be provided This is a hands-on management role for someone who wants to make a real difference to a growing manufacturing operation.
